The Gospel

So I figured I ought to come on here and explain the gospel. Chances are if you are reading this, you already know the Glorious Good News of Jesus Christ, but if you don’t let me explain it as simple as possible.

All of Humanity is flawed, just look at the world around you and you can see, even the best people still have issues. The Bible is very honest about this. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” If you read through the Bible, you will find flaws in even the best of men. Moses was a murderer, David was an adulterer, Job struggled with fear… You can read it for yourself and learn more.

God loves you. He really loves you, and even though you have issues and you have made mistakes, he wants to be with you. So instead of making you pay for all of your mistakes, He sent Jesus, who was God manifested in a human Body. We often feel that God is mad at us, and is just waiting to curse us and punish us. But that isn’t true. If God wanted to punish people there would have been no need of Jesus to come and Die for us. God has every right to punish you, but he chooses to offer you life. The Bible says it like this Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

But see, even though we are Flawed God wants to be in relationship with us. He really loves us. Romans 5:8  says it this way, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” and 1st John 4:8 says it this way, “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.”

So what do we make of all this? Well, you have a choice in front of you, you could choose to believe me when I say Jesus died for you because He loves you. So here is what the Bible says you should do with all of this information Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Becoming a Christian is a simple matter of Belief and Confession. So, if you have read all of this and truly believe it, lets confess it together in the form of a simple prayer.

“Jesus, I believe the Bible. I believe you love me and you want to be with me forever. I recognize that sin kept us apart, but you willingly came to earth and chose to die for me. I believe that God raised you up from death so that I could be free from the sin the separates us. I am sorry for my sin, Forgive me. I thank you for your Love. I believe you, and I receive your Love. Amen”

It isn’t super hard, that simple little prayer took maybe a minute? But that minute has the power to change your life. If you have read all this, said the prays and confessed Jesus Christ, what is the next step? Well, next we need to find you a good church that will help you grow in the Love of Christ and mentor you so that you can live abundantly and experience the fullness of Christ in your life.

I say we, because I am here to help you. If you said that prayer, email me I want to connect with you and I want to help you find a church that will help you grow in your new Christian Life. Today is the start of something great for you, and I rejoice with you. Please email me and let me know if you read this and were united with Christ.
